The Power of Two Words
Ryleigh and I have made it a practice to pick up garbage, safely through the last few weeks, I'm not going to lie we were grumbling at how messy and inconsiderate people were.
A young man jogged by us and stop and thanked us.
Ry looked at me and said, "that was nice grandma" and immediately our posture changed along with our attitudes, so I thought this week I would say thank you.
Thank you to all of our residents that have been keeping their distances and only going out for essential needs, you are the reason we are in Phase 3 today.
Thank you to our first responders.
Thank you to our healthcare workers.
Thank you to our PSWs and social workers.
Thank you to our funeral home staff.
Thank you to the cashiers and people stocking the shelves of our grocery store and pharmacies.
Thank you to our teachers for helping to keep our students busy, both during Covid and now preparing for safe entry back to school.
Thank you to the gyms that have online workouts to keep us sane, and making it safe to come back in person.
Thank you to our churches and religious organizations for online church to help keep people connected and keeping it safe for people to return.
I hope my thank you changed your posture today and you feel appreciated.
Stay safe Ajax
